After clearing Customs and Immigration in Grand Cayman,
you're only a short hop away on either Island Air or Cayman Airways. You will be
met by our staff and transported to your Condominium.
If you are making your own travel reservations, we suggest
you contact Island Air or Cayman Airways prior to booking flights
to Grand Cayman to be sure they can accommodate you on the
days you wish to travel to and from Little Cayman. They will
gladly hold your reservation for 24 hours, allowing you time
to coordinate your flights in and out of Grand Cayman.
United States, British, Canadian citizens
as well as citizens of British Dependent Territories do
not require passports, but must present proof of citizenship
and a return or ongoing airline ticket. Note: a Voter's
Registration Card or a Social Security Card is not considered
valid proof of US citizenship and is, therefore, not valid
Identification for re-entry into the United States. Proof
of citizenship include:
Passport or Birth certificate with a raised seal
Photo Id (i.e. Driver's License)
IMPORTANT NOTE: As of January 1, 2007, everyone, including US Citizens, will require a valid Passport to re-enter the US after visiting the Caribbean. We highly urge everyone to get your passports now, as it is increasingly becoming a standard for travel outside of your own Country.
Commonwealth citizens, and citizens of the
following countries must have passports but do not require
Visas to enter the Cayman Islands:
Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium,
Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador,
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Iceland, Irish
Republic, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg,
Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru,
Portugal, San Merino, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland,
Venezuela.
All other countries not noted above should
contact the nearest British Consulate or High Commission
Office to inquire about entry requirements or receive applications
for Visas. Entry is granted for up to six months. Resident
aliens of the US who show a valid US Alien Registration
Card (green card) may be permitted to enter and remain in
the Cayman Islands for up to 30 days.

Upon arrival please keep the Immigration
slip given to you! This is our equivalent of a tourist identification
card.
Arriving visitors may bring in duty-free
any personal items for use while on vacation - laptop computers
included. In addition, visitors 18 years and older may bring
in duty-free either one litre of alcohol, four litres of
wine or one case of beer (not exceeding eight litres) and
200 cigarettes, or 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco.
Returning residents are allowed CI$350 worth
of goods duty free. This privilege does not apply to
visitors. Remember that any gifts you are bringing into
the Cayman Islands may also be subject to duty. Duty is
never charged on books and camera equipment.
Importing or possession of any kind of illegal
drugs, including marijuana (ganja) and cocaine is strictly
prohibited by law and violators will be arrested and prosecuted
by local authorities. Also prohibited without a special
permit are: Firearms of any kind (including BB guns); spearguns
(pole spears or Hawaiian slings); live plants and plant
cuttings; raw fruits and vegetables because they may carry
diseases or shelter harmful insect pests. You may contact
the Collector of Customs, (345) 949-2473 if you have questions
about any item, prior to your arrival.
Each US Citizen is allowed to return to the US with up to US$800 in purchases without paying duty, as long as they have been out of the country for at least 48 hours and have not claimed the exemption in the previous 30 days. A couple may claim US$1,600, a family of four US$3,200, and so on. Only one liter of alcohol and 200 cigarettes or 100 cigars may be included in each exemption. Cuban cigars are never allowed in the US, no matter where they are purchased.
When leaving Cayman, visitors from the
US should be aware that products made from farmed sea
turtles, such as available at the Cayman Turtle Farm, may not
be taken back home. The importation of genuine sea turtle
products is strictly prohibited by any countries which have
signed the Convention on International Trade in Endangered
Species (1978) including the US, Canada and UK. In addition,
US Customs prohibits the transshipment of turtle products
through the US. Any products discovered will be confiscated.
You will not be allowed to bring back any plants or plant
seeds, vegetables or fruits unless you have official permits
from US Customs. These will also be confiscated by US
Customs.
Year-round temperature is between 72° F
and 88° F. Water temperatures range from 78° F -
82° F in the winter and 82° F - 86° F in the
summer. The rainy season is from May to October with May/June
and September/October usually being the wettest months.
The hurricane season runs from June to November and usually
peaks in September and October.
Visitors can get married on the day they arrive. You are advised to make arrangements in advance to facilitate paperwork and all required details. A special license will be granted by the Governor for nonresident couples. Couples must make arrangements for a Cayman Islands marriage officer before applying for the license.
Other requirements include proper documentation proving citizenship and age (passport or birth certificate) and marital status (proof of legal divorce decree or death certificate if spouse has died, if applicable); Immigration slip showing legal entry into the Cayman Islands. The minimum legal age for getting married without parental consent is 18.

Little Cayman dress is very casual. However, we ask that you do
not wear bathing suits or "skimpy" beach
wear beyond the beach. There are no nude beaches in the
Cayman Islands and public nudity and topless bathing are
prohibited by law.
The Cayman Islands has
its own currency and the basic unit is the dollar. It is issued
in notes of CI$100, 50, 25, 10, 5 and 1. The CI dollar has
a fixed exchange rate with the US dollar of CI$1.00 equals
US$1.25 or US$1.00 dollar equals CI $0.80. The US dollar is
accepted throughout the islands. Banks do NOT give a better
rate of exchange and the rate does not fluctuate. MasterCard
and VISA cards as well as travelers checks
are accepted. Banking hours in
Little Cayman are limited to Monday and Thursday.
Tap water at the Conch
Club Condominiums is safe to drink. We use a combination of
cistern water, carefully monitored for purity, and sea water
purified by reverse osmosis. Bottled water is also available
at the Village Square Market.
Our Village Square Market is within walking distance of the Condominiums. Hours are Monday through Saturday 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Sunday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
A Doctor is at the Clinic on Wednesdays. A Registered Nurse is at the Clinic at the following times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 to 1:00, Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 to 5:00.
